Friday Fix: Episode 146
Depression is complicated. There’s more than one type. Some people only have one depressive episode while others have frequent bouts of depression that come and go. The symptoms can differ from person to person as well. Some people sleep too much. Others don’t sleep enough. Some people have physical symptoms. Others appear irritable rather than sad. Many people who have depression don’t even know they have it. Instead, they think they’re just tired or they chalk their symptoms up to being under “too much stress.” Despite the fact that identifying depression can be complicated, some of the treatments can be simple. On today’s Friday Fix episode, I share how therapists often help people battle depression with behavioral therapy. Changing a few things in your calendar could reduce your depression. So today, I’m sharing what those things are and how they could help. And the best news is, it’s something you can try right away. You can put it into practice today and see if it works for you.
